One the first of Jan. we had Christmas in
Cincinnati. Most of the family was there,
I think there were about 35
of us there, the house was pretty full as you
can see.
We had a great time, full of family, fun and of
course we can't forget the food.
Of course opening presents did take a while, although
at one point I think things did get out of control,
because if you know how they do the presents, there
were more than one being opened at a time.Ha Ha
Our gift from Kristy, Travis and Braeden.

Most of the great grandchildren waiting to
open their presents.
Most of the gang.

Donna and Bryson
The rest of the gang, hiding in the dining room.
Closer to the food.

Grandma opening her lap quilt from Chrissy and Jacob.

Jacob opening his and Chrissy camping stove.

Donna and Braeden.
Elijah opening his present.

More of the gang.

We all had a good visit and loved every
minute of it. Always good to be around
Family. We love you all.

December

In December we were happy to have
David and Tammy come visit. It was
their 30th wedding Anniversary.
They had gone to the cabin in Tn,
then came down for a visit. We don't get
to see them very often so it was great to visit
with them. John III and Tara, James and
the grandkids came also. We all had a great time.
This year for Christmas we decided to stay home,
since we have moved here we have always gone
somewhere else for Christmas.
Jennifer and the grandkids, came a couple of days
early. Which was great.
Tara, James and the Grandkids came on Christmas
Eve and John III also came that evening.
Kristy, Travis, Braeden, Chrissy, Jacob, Elijah, and
John William were not able to be here and we missed
them greatly. We did get to see Kristy, Travis,
and Braeden on Thanksgiving.
Here is a picture of Grandpappy with Bryson
hanging out on the couch, Bryson was all tired out.

Grandpappy and the kids got together and made
cookies for Santa.

On Christmas Eve we all sat down and Uncle James
read us some Christmas stories.

Then Grandpappy read us the story of the birth
of Christ.
Santa came after all the kids finally went to sleep,
which took quite a while.

This was Christmas morning and the kids getting
their stockings.

Then after we had some breakfast, it was time to
open presents.

We all had a great time together, would have been
better if all the children and granchildren could have
been here but like said before sometimes that's a hard
thing to accomplish. We love all the family and are
so grateful to our Heavenly Father that he has brought
us together with so much love for one another.

Thanksgiving

So later in Nov was Thanksgiving of course,
That usually means a trip to Cincinnati.
We hadn't seen Autumn, Bryson, Jake , or Jennifer
for a while, so first off was late birthday presents.
It hadn't been Bryson's birthday yet but he wanted to open
something along with the rest and Jake let him open
one of his presents. What a sweet big brother.

Then most of the family got together, and
had a great day. We missed the ones that weren't
able to make it. It's hard to get everyone together. I think
we had around 30 of us there. Maybe one day we'll be lucky
and get us all there, although I think thats a tall order.
Good food and fun was had by all.

Time for some updates

Since it's been a while since I've been on here to update,
thought maybe I should get to it.
I'll try to start where I left off which would have been in Nov.
We decided to take a trip down to Destin and
enjoy the condo and weather.
Well the weather turned out to be a little cool,
but that didn't keep us from the beach.
The sunsets were gorgeous as you can see yourself.

While we were there, there was a holiday, (Veterans Day).
We decided to go to some of the Forts that were close around.
We found out that on certain days of the year they have
free admission, and this happen to be one.
We went to Fort Pickens, and over to Pensacola
to the base there. We had a great time going through
the forts. They were amazing, just to see how well the
were made.

At Pensacola we just happen upon their air show,
in which the Blue Angels were flying.

We also got to take some picture of a lighthouse that was there.
They were having a private party there so no going up into it.
The Blue Angels buzzed the lighthouse, so that was pretty cool.
We had a great time while there.

While we were in Destin we went to a restaurant

down by the waterfront and had dinner. After we had

dinner we decided to take a walk on the Boardwalk.

As we got there one of the boats that do fishing excursions,

had just gotten in. Here you can see some of their catch.

They had a shark there that wasn't all that big and said that

they usually let them go, but this one had died so they

brought it back. So we got to see their skill on filleting them.

Also a Chinese man cut up the shark and gave the teeth and

jaw to one of the people that had gone on the trip,

then took the rest for himself, they said that he uses

all the different parts for something.
