family camping trip

  1. We just got back from our camping trip to Davidson River campground in North Carolina with part of the family. Everyone was not able to make it because of work schedules and such, but those of us that did get to go had a great time. The weather was wonderful, in the 80's with no rain. Here are a few pictures that were taken there.
Autumn and Grandma standing under Bridal Vail Falls.
We drove over an hour to this great waterfall and because
of the lack of rain you can tell we had no problem staying
dry.

This a picture of Autumn and Bethannie back at the campground
They are making a house for their worms and it turned out quite nice. They had a few worms to visit them.

This picture is of Jacob, Chrissy, Autumn, and Bethannie at the swimming hole. The water was quite cold, I was told, but they still stayed in for a while.
This is our cook for the week, you know everyone has to have a job and he did a great job.
Grandma, Grandpa and John at Sliding Rock.

Now this will come as a surprise, Margaret...can you believe I really got to YOUR blog?! I had a lovely time at your home, and needed the "slow-down" time, AND the sleep...hahaha
I was hoping you would get some of that rain. The ground is just crispy.
I did come home and go the very next day to get me a baby kitty!! He is darling and a real lover.
Thanks again for sharing your home with Mary and me.
