Trip to Washington

I got to go out and visit with David, Jennifer, Autumn, Jake and the newest addition to the family, Bryson for a week. We had a great time and the kids are a joy to be around. I can't believe that Autumn will be 8 yrs.old in another 2 months. Jake has grown so much since I last got to see him. Bryson is such a good baby, hardly ever crying. While we were there we did some baking of cookies. We also all went out and did some bowling, although it has been a while since I've done that.We had a good time and came home and had ice cream sundaes. Thanks for letting me come out and visit I had a great time. I flew to Denver to meet John who was at a Conference and drove back with him, yes I said drove back, how crazy am I, but you know him he doesn't like to fly and would rather drive,so I did that to keep him company. After we got back to Chicago and were there for a few days we started our way down to South Carolina to check on the house. After sending a shot amount of time there and trying to get things done that needed to be done we were back on the road again.

Still working

In Feb. it was mostly all work. The houses are coming along and I've had only melt down. This trying to get two house done in the same amount of time is for the birds. Hopefully they will both be done soon. Thanks to Kristy and Travis for their help. I have also gotten to spend a little bit more time than I would have with Braeden, it's always nice to see the grand kids. Will be glad to have the comforts of home again since here I have a air mattress and a T.V. and of course Stove and refrig. We went to the house in South Carolina just to check on it and pick up mail. To our surprise as I looked out of our back window I saw tree limbs and went out to look and a large limb had fallen onto the deck, I guess when they had, had a wind storm. So, John spent part of our weekend cleaning up the mess. We were lucky that it only damaged the guttering, it did put a rub mark on the window, but it could have broken the large window back there. So just more guttering we have to get replaced. We also had a new addition to the family this month, Jennifer and David had a little boy, Bryson David on the 23rd.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's

So it's Christmas time at Grandma and Grandpa Compston.
We had a great time with all the relatives, of course everyone
could not be there and we missed them and wished they could
have been there. After we finished Christmas at Grandma and
Grandpa's I went to Dayton and started working on the houses
there. I pulled out and put up drywall with John's help and pulled
up flooring. The bathrom also is getting redone, which needed
to be done badly. This has been one interesting and something
that has tested my nerves at time, but I'm sure it will all be
worth it in the end. So here are some pictures taken at
Christmas.

Christmas

So December started off with me being at home for half of the month.
Then we decided to spend Christmas with the kids in Va. We spent the first night
there at Tara and James house, then the other nights at a timeshare that was
about a half hour from there in Williamsburg. We had a great time and was good to
spend Christmas with them. Jacob had to work on Christmas morning so they had
the kids open their presents Christmas morning and then we had Christmas with
Jacob when he got there in the afternoon. The only thing that would have made
it better would have been if all the children could have been with us on Christmas.
Thanks Tara and James, Chrissy and Jacob for letting us share Christmas with
you.

November 2008

I guess it's about time that I set down and try to get this blog updated just a little. So I guess I should start back in November. Chrissy and Jacob were sealed in the Washington D.C. Temple, and we were privileged to get to go there with them. We are so proud of them and their desire to do as Heavenly Father wants them to do. We got to spend some time with the both of them and also Tara, James, and the grand kids, and also Jennifer came out from Washington State. We had a visit that was to short but as always was great to get to spend the time with them. We love all of our children, and wish we were all closer so that we could see them a lot more. Of course Thanksgiving was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Compston and all the food was great. It is always great to get everyone that comes.
